The Jazz Corner Society and the Fox Jazz Fest Planning Committee have teamed up with a stellar cast of local businesses, educators, organizations, performers, and artists to bring an amazing musical celebration to the people of Wisconsin. This incredible event, known as Fox Jazz Fest, was created 28 years ago by the region's best known jazz guru, mentor to dozens, and respected pianist / composer / educator John Harmon, and his desire to give the gift of 100% free, world-class music to the community that has supported him for so many years.

The Jazz Corner Society was established October 19, 1997 as a non-profit Wisconsin corporation.
It received IRS approval as a tax exempt 501 (c) (3) organization on January 28, 1998.
The Fox Jazz Festival Planning Committee is a subcommittee of the Jazz Corner Society.

Mission:
The mission of the Jazz Corner Society is to promote and preserve jazz music in its diverse formats as a vital part of our American heritage.
Programs:
At present, the Jazz Corner Society has the following ongoing projects:
* Jazz Concerts, including producing the Fox Jazz Festival
* An annual high school jazz improvisation contest
* An annual free jazz clinic by one of our guest artists
* Promotion of jazz musicians who are not nationally known artists
*A 6-episode jazz education video series

Membership in JCS is open to those persons who are interested in jazz music and/or desire to promote the jazz idiom as part of the American heritage.
JCS may elect to charge annual membership fees.
